Immigration Services

Psychological evaluations are critical in immigration hardship cases because they assess the mental health functioning of the applicant in past, present and future states. These evaluations are particularly important in describing the long term psychological challenges related to immigration issues and how separation from loved ones or removal from the United States will cause subsequent extreme hardship.

Unfortunately, immigration applications are often denied due to a lack of a mental health/psychological assessment or because the assessments submitted lack sufficient details and are unpersuasive.

Dr. Mueller understands the importance of completing detailed and timely reports for applicants and their legal advisors, which assist immigration court judges and USCIS officials in understanding the severity of the hardship endured by clients and their loved ones.

Dr. Mueller provides psychological evaluations for individuals who have one of the following types of cases:

  • Extreme Hardship Waiver (601 & 601A)

  • Violence Against Women Act (VAWA; I-360)

  • Asylum (I-589)

  • Victims of Criminal Activity (U-Visa; I-918)

  • Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions (N-648)
